Registering with directories is quite important to get a good PR.You should submit your URL to atleast 10 directories.If possible,you can submit it to more than that.It would only be better for you.
Register with some niche-specific directories .You can find them in many Search Engines or you can log on to http://www.isedb.com .You should register there and check if they provide static links.You can search for keywords to find other niche-specific directories.
